WRB Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects WRB protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). WRB (G-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. WRB protein, also known as congenital heart disease 5 protein (CHD5), is a 174 amino acid nuclear protein characterized by a potential nuclear localization signal and a tryptophan-rich C-terminus, which is crucial for cellular processes. WRB protein is widely expressed in both adult and fetal tissues and is encoded by a gene located on chromosome 21, a region associated with congenital heart disease in patients with Down syndrome. WRB protein′s significance lies in its potential role in the pathogenesis of heart disease related to Down syndrome, as individuals with this chromosomal disorder often exhibit an increased risk for congenital heart defects. Understanding WRB protein interactions may provide insights into functional mechanisms and implications in developmental biology and disease.
