SEE ALSO...

Wnt-16 Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Wnt-16 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Wnt-16 antibody (B-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Wnt-16 is a member of the Wnt family of secreted glycoproteins, which are crucial for numerous developmental processes, including the regulation of cell growth and differentiation. Notably, Wnt-16 has two mRNA isoforms, Wnt-16a and Wnt-16b, which exhibit distinct expression patterns; Wnt-16a is primarily found in the pancreas, while Wnt-16b is abundantly expressed in adult kidney, placenta, brain, heart, and spleen, but not in bone marrow. The differential expression of these isoforms suggests a specialized role for Wnt-16b in organ-specific functions and potential implications in developmental biology and disease. Wnt-16 is implicated in the pathogenesis of certain leukemias, serving as a downstream target of the E2A-Pbx1 hybrid gene, indicating that Wnt-16-mediated autocrine signaling may play a role in the growth of pre-B acute lymphoblastoid leukemias. anti-Wnt-16 antibody (B-4) serves as a valuable tool for researchers investigating the Wnt signaling pathway and its involvement in cancer and developmental disorders.
