WISP-2 Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects WISP-2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). WISP-2 (B-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Wnt-induced secreted protein 2 (WISP-2) is a member of the CCN family of growth factors, which includes WISP-1 and WISP-3, as well as connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) and Cyr61. These proteins are characterized by four conserved cysteine-rich domains and function as dimers in active forms. WISP-2 is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle, colon, and ovary, and WISP-2 expression is significantly upregulated in cells transformed with proto-oncogene Wnt-1, as well as in human colon tumors, indicating a potential role in tumorigenesis. WISP-2 interacts with specific proteins such as integrins and various growth factor receptors, which are crucial for mediating cellular responses to extracellular signals, influencing processes like cell proliferation, migration, and differentiation that impact tissue development and repair mechanisms.
