WISP-1 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects WISP-1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). WISP-1 (A-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Wnt-induced secreted protein (WISP)-1 is a member of the CCN family of growth factors, which includes WISP-2 and WISP-3, and features four conserved cysteine-rich domains that facilitate dimerization, crucial for biological activity. WISP-1 drives cell proliferation, differentiation, and extracellular matrix production, making WISP-1 essential for tissue repair and regeneration. WISP-1 expression occurs in several human tissues, including heart, kidney, and spleen, with increased expression in cells transformed by proto-oncogene Wnt-1 and human colon tumors, suggesting involvement in tumorigenesis. WISP-1 interactions with other CCN family proteins create a complex regulatory network influencing cellular responses to growth factors and stress, highlighting WISP-1′s significance in normal physiology and disease states.
