WDR82 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 92-112 of WDR82 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). WDR82 monoclonal antibody (A-2) is available as the non-conjugated anti-WDR82 antibody form. WD repeat-containing protein 82 (WDR82), also known as TMEM113, is a 313 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of six WD repeats and classified within the WD repeat SWD2 family. WDR82 (A-2) antibody is primarily localized in the nucleus, where WDR82 serves as a critical component of the Set1 methyltransferase complex, which includes other essential proteins such as Set1A and Set1B. The Set1 complex is responsible for the specific methylation of the Lysine 4 (Lys 4) residue on Histone H3, a modification that is vital for the formation of an active chromatin structure conducive to transcription. WDR82 within this complex is crucial for regulating gene expression, as WDR82 facilitates the chromatin remodeling necessary for transcriptional activation. Given WDR82′s significant role in chromatin modification, WDR82 is essential for maintaining proper cellular function and gene regulation, making anti-WDR82 antibody (A-2) an indispensable tool for studying chromatin dynamics and the regulatory mechanisms underlying gene expression.
