WDR48 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects WDR48 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). WDR48 (E-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. WDR48, also known as USP1-associated factor 1 and p80, is a 677 amino acid protein characterized by eight WD repeats, which are motifs that typically form a tertiary propeller structure. These WD repeats are crucial for WDR48′s function, as they facilitate protein-protein interactions and the assembly of protein complexes, thereby playing a significant role in regulatory mechanisms such as signal transduction, apoptosis, transcriptional regulation, and cell cycle control. WDR48 is essential for regulating deubiquitinating complexes by activating USP1, USP12, and USP46, enhancing deubiquitination through increased catalytic turnover without altering the affinity of deubiquitinating enzymes for their substrates. WDR48 is ubiquitously expressed and primarily localized in the cytoplasm, with five isoforms resulting from alternative splicing events, highlighting its versatility and importance in cellular processes.
