SEE ALSO...

WASP Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome Protein (WASP) of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). WASP monoclonal antibody (D-1) is raised against amino acids 1-250 of WASP of human origin. WASP (D-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome (WAS) is a genetic disorder linked to a mutation on the short arm of the X chromosome, characterized by symptoms such as thrombocytopenia, eczema, immune deficiencies, and an increased risk of lymphoproliferative diseases. The gene responsible for WAS encodes WASP, a proline-rich protein that plays a crucial role in cytoskeletal organization. WASP is involved in the regulation of actin polymerization, which is essential for various cellular processes, including cell motility, shape, and division. A Cdc42/Rac interacting domain in WASP sequence indicates function as a downstream effector of Cdc42, a small GTPase that orchestrates cytoskeleton reorganization in response to extracellular signals. Understanding WASP′s role in cytoskeletal dynamics is vital, as disruptions in this process can lead to clinical manifestations observed in WAS, highlighting WASP′s importance in maintaining cellular integrity and immune function.

Hi, I have a question about  sc-5300. I purchased this yesterday, and I found it works ok on WB. But I want to immunoprecipitate WASp to look at co-precipitated actin. Do you have track records of this Ab for successful immunoprecipitation? Thanks.

Asked by: yutanOK
Thank you for your question. Yes, this antibody is recommended for IP, so we warranty it for that use. Please reach out to Technical Support if you have any further questions.
