SEE ALSO...

VPS37A Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects VPS37A of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). VPS37A monoclonal antibody (G-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. VPS37A, also known as vacuolar protein sorting 37 homolog A or HCRP1, is a 397 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the endosomal sorting complex required for transport I (ESCRT-I) complex, which is essential for proper protein trafficking to the vacuole. VPS37A is primarily localized to the nucleus, peripheral membranes, and late endosome membranes, highlighting VPS37A′s importance in cellular processes. VPS37A is expressed in various tissues, with particularly high levels in the liver, and is involved in vesicular trafficking, protein sorting, cell growth, and differentiation. Notably, VPS37A undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in multiple isoforms that may have distinct functions or regulatory mechanisms, further emphasizing VPS37A′s complexity and significance in cellular dynamics.

Can VPS37A (G-3): sc-376978 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. Yes, VPS37A (G-3): sc-376978 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent antibodyNot sure how sensitive this antibody is, but it seems specific. We could easily detect endogenous VPS37A in HEK293T cells using an HRP-conjugated secondary (1 min exposure). Tubulin was detected with 488-conjugated antibody using a Typhoon TRIO imager.
