VPS35 Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects VPS35 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). VPS35 Antibody (B-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. VPS35, also known as vacuolar protein sorting 35 or MEM3, is a critical 796 amino acid protein that plays a vital role in the retromer complex, which is essential for retrieving lysosomal enzyme receptors from endosomes back to the trans-Golgi network. VPS35 is predominantly localized in the cytoplasm and peripheral membrane, highlighting VPS35′s importance in cellular trafficking processes. VPS35 is ubiquitously expressed, with highest levels found in the heart, placenta, brain, testis, kidney, colon, ovary, and spleen, indicating VPS35′s fundamental role in various physiological functions. Notably, VPS35 regulates transcytosis of the polymeric immunoglobulin receptor, facilitating movement from the basolateral to the apical surface of epithelial cells and hepatocytes, which is crucial for maintaining immune responses and epithelial integrity.
