VEGF-D Antibody (C-12) is a high quality monoclonal VEGF-D antibody (also designated VEGF-D antibody) suitable for the detection of the VEGF-D protein of human origin. VEGF-D Antibody (C-12) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-VEGF-D antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-VEGF-D antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The onset of angiogenesis is believed to be an early event in tumorigenesis and may facilitate tumor progression and metastasis. Several growth factors with angiogenic activity have been described. These include fibroblast growth factor (FGF), platelet derived growth factor (PDGF) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). Several forms of VEGF have been identified, including VEGF, VEGF-B, VEGF-C and VEGF-D (also designated FIGF). Characteristic of VEGF proteins, the central region of VEGF-D contains eight cysteine residues. These residues are essential for homodimerization. VEGF-D may play a role in tumor progression, as it is induced by c-Fos, which is required for conversion of early stage tumors to malignant tumors. It has been observed that overexpression of VEGF-D induces morphological changes in fibroblasts.

Can I use this antibody for detection of VEGFD of mouse cell lines ?
Asked by: kidarime
Thank you for your question. This antibody is only recommended for human samples, it has not been tested for mouse cells so we are unable to warranty it for that use. Please contact Technical Service by phone, (800)-457-3801 option 2, email <[email protected]>, or by live chat directly on our website, www.scbt.com if you have any further questions or if you would like to try a sample of this antibody.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-373866 P appropriate for?
Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here:
