    VE-cadherin-2 Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects VE-cadherin-2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-VE-cadherin-2 antibody (F-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. VE-cadherin-2, also known as protocadherin 12 (PCDH12), is a 1,184 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein predominantly expressed in vascularized tissues such as the heart and placenta. VE-cadherin-2 plays a crucial role in mediating cell-cell adhesion, which is essential for maintaining tissue integrity and facilitating morphogenetic processes. The extracellular domain of VE-cadherin-2 contains five homologous repeats that contribute to binding specificity, while the short intracellular domain interacts with cytoplasmic proteins like β-catenin, thereby regulating cadherin function. VE-cadherin-2′s role in promoting homotypic calcium-dependent aggregation and adhesion at intercellular junctions underscores significance in vascular development and tissue organization, making VE-cadherin-2 a valuable target for research in cell biology and developmental processes.

    Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with 5% milk or 3% BSA with 0.05% Tween-20 for Western blot. We wash with TBS but PBS would work to.     For Western Blot, is it recommended to use denatured or non-denatured conditions with VE-cadherin-2 (F-4): sc-515467 monoclonal antibody?
