VDUP1 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects VDUP1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). VDUP1 (B-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The gene encoding vitamin D3 upregulated protein 1 (VDUP1) is notably upregulated by 1,25(OH)2D3 in response to various cellular stresses, including reactive oxygen species, ultraviolet radiation, and heat shock, with the transcription factor heat shock factor potentially playing a role in this regulation. VDUP1 serves as a natural antagonist of thioredoxin, contributing to tumor-suppressive activity by inducing cell cycle arrest at the G0/G1 phase, which is crucial for preventing uncontrolled cell proliferation. Additionally, VDUP1 is essential for CD122 expression and natural killer (NK) cell maturation, although VDUP1′s influence on T and B cell development is relatively minimal. The human VDUP1 gene is located on chromosome 1q21, and VDUP1 exhibits ubiquitous expression across various tissues, predominantly localizing to the cytoplasm. Given VDUP1′s significant roles in cellular stress responses and immune regulation, VDUP1 may represent a promising therapeutic target for melanoma.
