SEE ALSO...

VDR Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody raised against amino acids 344-424 of human Vitamin D Receptor (VDR), also known as NR1I1. VDR is a nuclear hormone receptor and transcription factor that mediates the effects of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3, the active form of vitamin D. Upon ligand binding, VDR forms heterodimers with the retinoid X receptor (RXR) and binds to vitamin D response elements (VDREs) in DNA, regulating the expression of genes involved in calcium and phosphate homeostasis, cell proliferation, differentiation, and immune responses. The function of VDR is crucial for maintaining bone health by promoting calcium absorption and bone mineralization, and also plays a role in modulating the immune system and inhibiting the proliferation of cancer cells in tissues such as the skin, colon, and breast. Dysregulation of VDR signaling has been implicated in various diseases, including osteoporosis, autoimmune disorders, and certain cancers. VDR monoclonal antibody (D-6) reacts with mouse, rat, and human VDR and is suitable for applications such as WB, IP, IF, and IHCP. By targeting VDR, this specific antibody aids researchers in studying the molecular mechanisms of vitamin D signaling and its impact on health and disease. Understanding VDR function is important for developing therapeutic strategies against conditions resulting from vitamin D deficiency or impaired VDR activity.

Hello, we are looking into a VDR antibody that is pre-conjugated and works for flow cytometry. Are you able to provide any proof of flow staining, as well as concentrations used? We would be using it for human NK cell staining.

Asked by: Allison
Thank you for contacting Santa Cruz Biotechnology. to request publications for flow cytometry please email scbt@scbt.com. We recommend using 1 µg normal immunoglobulins per 1 million cells. https://www.scbt.com/resources/protocols/flow-cytometry

does D6 vitamin d receptor antibody cross react with monkey (macaques) for immunohistochemistry

Asked by: schristak
Thank you for your question. This antibody has not been tested on monkey samples in house, so it is not technically recommended or warrantied for that use, however, we do have publications in monkey (rhesus) samples.
