Datasheets
  • VAMP-3 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ, cited in 5 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 2-16 at the N-terminus of VAMP-3 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of VAMP-3 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for VAMP-3 Antibody (E-10) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with VAMP-3 Antibody (E-10) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

VAMP-3 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects VAMP-3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-VAMP-3 antibody (E-10) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental use. VAMP-3, also known as cellubrevin, is a member of the vesicle-associated membrane protein (VAMP) family, which plays a crucial role in the regulation of vesicle trafficking and exocytosis. VAMP-3 is primarily located in the membranes of secretory vesicles and is essential for the fusion of these vesicles with target membranes, a process vital for neurotransmitter release and hormone secretion. VAMP-3 functions particularly in pancreatic beta-cells, where VAMP-3 is involved in the calcium-mediated release of insulin, thereby influencing glucose homeostasis. Additionally, VAMP-3 interacts with synaptosomal-associated proteins (SNAPs) and syntaxin, forming a complex that is critical for the docking and fusion of vesicles, highlighting VAMP-3′s significance in cellular communication and metabolic regulation. VAMP-3′s ability to facilitate the translocation of GLUT4 to the cell surface in adipocytes further underscores VAMP-3′s role in insulin signaling and glucose uptake, making VAMP-3 a key player in metabolic processes.
