SEE ALSO...

VAMP-1/2/3 Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects VAMP-1/2/3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). VAMP-1/2/3 (F-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. VAMP proteins, also known as synaptobrevins, play a crucial role in exocytosis, which is essential for neurotransmitter release and other cellular secretion mechanisms. VAMP proteins are primarily located on synaptic vesicle membranes and are vital for vesicle fusion with presynaptic membrane, facilitating neurotransmitter release into synaptic cleft. VAMP interaction with syntaxins and SNAPs is critical for SNARE complex formation, which drives membrane fusion. Disruption of this process can lead to various neurological disorders, highlighting VAMP protein importance in maintaining proper synaptic function. Using anti-VAMP-1/2/3 antibody (F-11) in research can provide valuable insights into exocytosis mechanisms and implications in cellular communication and pathology.

Can VAMP-1/2/3 (F-11): sc-133129 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. Yes, VAMP-1/2/3 (F-11): sc-133129 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
