VAC14 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects VAC14 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). VAC14 (C-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. VAC14, also known as TAX1BP2 (Tax1-binding protein 2) or TRX, is a crucial component in the regulation of phosphatidylinositol 3,5-bisphosphate (PI(3,5)P2) synthesis, which is vital for maintaining cellular compartmentalization and signaling. This 782 amino acid protein features six HEAT repeats and operates within a regulatory complex alongside FIG4, playing a significant role in the activation of PIP5KIII, a kinase that modulates PI(3,5)P2 activity. Proper functioning of VAC14 is essential for intracellular trafficking and membrane dynamics, as disruptions in PI(3,5)P2 levels can lead to various cellular dysfunctions and diseases.
