V-ATPase D Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects V-ATPase D in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). V-ATPase D is a crucial component of the vacuolar-type H+-ATPase complex, which plays a vital role in the acidification of intracellular organelles, a process essential for various cellular functions including protein sorting, nutrient storage, and pH regulation within organelles. The V-ATPase complex is composed of two main domains: the peripheral V1 domain, responsible for ATP hydrolysis, and the integral V0 domain, which facilitates proton translocation across membranes. The V-ATPase D subunit, part of the V0 domain, is particularly important for the assembly and stability of the entire complex, ensuring efficient proton pumping and maintaining the electrochemical gradient necessary for ATP synthesis. Proper functioning of V-ATPase D is critical for cellular homeostasis, and dysregulation has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Anti-V-ATPase D antibody (D-4) provides a reliable tool for researchers studying the dynamics of this essential protein and its role in cellular physiology.
