UNC5H3 Antibody (Zg06) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects UNC5H3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. UNC5H3, also known as UNC5C, is a member of the UNC5H family of proteins, which serve as transmembrane receptors for netrin-1, playing a pivotal role in axon guidance and neural cell migration. UNC5H3 mediates the repulsive action of netrin-1 and acts as a critical stop signal for migratory cells, ensuring proper neuronal development and positioning. When cleaved by caspases, UNC5H3 can induce apoptosis through the generation of an intracellular fragment containing a death domain, a process inhibited by netrin-1 binding. In the absence of netrin-1, UNC5H3 functions as a tumor suppressor, inhibiting anchorage-independent growth and invasion, which is particularly significant given that UNC5H3 expression is down-regulated in various cancers, including colorectal, breast, ovarian, uterine, stomach, lung, and kidney cancers. UNC5H3′s influence on both neural development and cancer progression underscores its importance as a target for research and therapeutic interventions.
