UHMK1 Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects UHMK1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). UHMK1 (C-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. UHMK1, also known as U2AF homology motif kinase 1 or KIS (kinase interacting with stathmin), is a 419 amino acid nuclear protein that catalyzes ATP-dependent phosphorylation of target proteins, such as p27, which regulates cell cycle progression. UHMK1 contains one protein kinase domain and one RNA recognition motif (RRM) domain, positioning UHMK1 within the serine/threonine protein kinase family. UHMK1 shows predominant expression in placenta, kidney, and skeletal muscle, highlighting UHMK1′s importance in various physiological functions. UHMK1 participates in RNA trafficking and processing, essential for gene expression and cellular response to environmental signals. Multiple UHMK1 isoforms exist due to alternative splicing events, adding complexity to UHMK1′s regulatory roles in cell biology and disease mechanisms.
