    UDP-GlcDH Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects UDP-GlcDH in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). UDP-GlcDH, also known as UDP-glucose 6-dehydrogenase, plays a vital role in converting UDP-glucose to UDP-glucuronic acid, a key precursor in glycosaminoglycan biosynthesis including hyaluronan, heparan sulfate, and chondroitin sulfate. These glycosaminoglycans are essential components of the extracellular matrix, contributing significantly to signal transduction, cell migration, and cancer progression. UDP-GlcDH functions critically in the liver, where UDP-glucuronic acid enables detoxification and excretion of harmful compounds. Structurally, UDP-GlcDH exists as a homohexamer, a configuration highly conserved across species, showing 97% sequence identity among mammals. TGFβ upregulates UDP-GlcDH expression, while hypoxia leads to downregulation, highlighting UDP-GlcDH′s role in cellular responses to environmental changes. With broad reactivity and critical biological functions, anti-UDP-GlcDH antibody (D-2) serves as an invaluable tool for investigating roles in health and disease.

    Thank you for your question. Yes, UDP-GlcDH (D-2): sc-137005 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections.
