Ubiquitin Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to detect full-length human Ubiquitin protein, encompassing amino acids 1-76. Ubiquitin monoclonal antibody (F-11) recognizes Ubiquitin from mouse, rat, human, avian, as well as additional species including equine, canine, bovine, and porcine origins across applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Available in both non-conjugated form and multiple conjugated variants including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates, anti-Ubiquitin antibody (F-11) provides versatile solutions tailored to diverse experimental needs. The primary post-translational modification of Ubiquitin is the formation of isopeptide bonds with lysine residues on target proteins, a process known as ubiquitination. This modification can result in single Ubiquitin molecule attachment (monoubiquitination) or polyubiquitin chain formation through different lysine linkages, such as Lysine 48 (K48) and Lysine 63 (K63). K48-linked polyubiquitination typically signals for proteasomal degradation via the 26S Proteasome, thereby regulating protein turnover and maintaining protein quality control within cells. K63-linked polyubiquitination participates in non-proteolytic functions such as DNA repair, signal transduction, and endocytosis, highlighting Ubiquitin′s versatility in cellular processes. Ubiquitin′s ability to engage in diverse post-translational modifications proves crucial for regulating various cellular pathways, including degradation of abnormal, foreign, and improperly folded proteins, as well as modulation of key regulatory proteins such as IκB-α and p27 involved in signal transduction and cell cycle progression. Ubiquitin (F-11) antibody serves as an essential tool for investigating Ubiquitin′s diverse roles in protein regulation, signal transduction, and cellular homeostasis across multiple species and experimental applications.
