    SEE ALSO...

UBE2H Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects UBE2H protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). UBE2H (G-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. UBE2H, also known as ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2H, UBC8, UBCH, UBCH2, or E2-20K, is a 183 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the ubiquitin-proteasome system, which is essential for regulating protein degradation and maintaining cellular homeostasis. UBE2H is primarily located in the cytoplasm and nucleus, where UBE2H facilitates the covalent attachment of ubiquitin to target proteins, a process vital for tagging proteins for degradation or altering their cellular location and function. UBE2H is particularly important for the degradation of histone H2A, thereby influencing gene expression and chromatin dynamics. The conservation of UBE2H across species, with 100% identity to its mouse counterpart and 98% identity to homologs in frogs and zebrafish, underscores its fundamental role in cellular processes. Multiple isoforms of UBE2H arise from alternative splicing, which may contribute to its functional diversity in various biological contexts.
