UBE2G2 Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects UBE2G2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-UBE2G2 antibody (D-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. UBE2G2, also known as Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 G2 or UBC7, is a 165 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the ubiquitin-proteasome system, which is essential for regulating protein degradation and maintaining cellular homeostasis. UBE2G2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and endoplasmic reticulum, where UBE2G2 facilitates the ubiquitination process by catalyzing the transfer of ubiquitin molecules to target proteins, marking them for degradation. UBE2G2′s cellular location is important for involvement in endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD), a pathway that eliminates misfolded or unassembled proteins, thereby preventing the accumulation of potentially toxic proteins within the cell. UBE2G2 shares 100% sequence identity with its mouse counterpart and exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, further highlighting UBE2G2′s significance in various cellular processes.
