U11/U12 snRNP 65K Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects U11/U12 snRNP 65K protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-U11/U12 snRNP 65K antibody (H-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. U11/U12 snRNP 65K protein, also known as RBM40 (RNA-binding protein 40) or RNPC3 (RNA-binding region-containing protein 3), is a crucial 517 amino acid nuclear protein involved in pre-mRNA splicing through the minor spliceosome, specifically facilitating the removal of U12-type introns. This process is vital for proper gene expression, ensuring that only necessary coding sequences are retained in mature mRNA, thereby influencing protein diversity and function. U11/U12 snRNP 65K protein is predominantly expressed in kidney and pancreas, with lower levels detected in placenta, heart, brain, lung, liver, thymus, colon, ovary, testis, prostate, spleen, and small intestine. The gene encoding U11/U12 snRNP 65K is located on human chromosome 1, a region spanning 260 million base pairs and containing over 3,000 genes, many associated with various diseases, including familial adenomatous polyposis, Stickler syndrome, Parkinson′s disease, Gaucher disease, schizophrenia, and Usher syndrome.
