U1 snRNP 70 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects U1 snRNP 70 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-U1 snRNP 70 antibody (E-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. U1 snRNP 70, a critical component of the RNA spliceosome, plays a vital role in the precise excision of introns from pre-messenger RNA, which is essential for the production of functional mRNA. U1 snRNP 70 specifically binds to the single-stranded loop of hairpin 1 on U1 small nuclear RNA, and U1 snRNP 70′s RNA binding domain, consisting of 80-90 amino acids, is crucial for this interaction. This binding occurs independently of ATP and is necessary for the commitment to the pre-mRNA splicing pathway, facilitating the recruitment of additional proteins to the spliceosome. U1 snRNP 70 is diffusely localized in the cytoplasm at the onset of mitosis, but as mitosis progresses into telophase, U1 snRNP 70 accumulates in the daughter nuclei, highlighting its dynamic role in cellular processes.
