U1 snRNP 70 Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects U1 snRNP 70 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-U1 snRNP 70 antibody (C-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. U1 snRNP 70 plays a critical role in the RNA spliceosome, a complex essential for accurate removal of introns from pre-messenger RNA, thereby facilitating production of mature mRNA necessary for protein synthesis. U1 snRNP 70 specifically binds to the single-stranded loop of hairpin 1 on U1 small nuclear RNA, and RNA binding domain, consisting of 80-90 amino acids, is crucial for this interaction, which occurs independently of ATP. U1 snRNP 70 binding to U1 snRNA is vital for spliceosome assembly and recruitment of additional splicing factors, ensuring fidelity of gene expression. U1 snRNP 70 is dynamically localized within cells, initially dispersing throughout cytoplasm during early stages of mitosis and subsequently accumulating in daughter nuclei as mitosis progresses, highlighting importance in cellular division and RNA processing.
