Tyro3 Antibody (1C11E8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Tyro3 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Tyro3, a member of the Axl/UFO subfamily of receptor tyrosine kinases, plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including spermatogenesis, immunoregulation, and phagocytosis, making Tyro3 essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and immune responses. Tyro3 is primarily located in the cell membrane, where Tyro3 functions as a transmembrane signaling molecule. The extracellular domain, which consists of two immunoglobulin-like domains and two fibronectin type III domains, facilitates ligand binding and receptor dimerization, leading to the activation of intrinsic tyrosine kinase activity. This activation is vital for downstream signaling pathways that regulate cell growth, survival, and differentiation. Tyro3 is widely expressed in adult tissues, particularly in the brain, testis, lymphatic, and vascular tissues, highlighting Tyro3′s importance in both the central nervous system and the immune system. Additionally, Tyro3 undergoes significant post-translational modifications, including tyrosine phosphorylation and glycosylation, which are critical for functional regulation and interaction with ligands such as Protein S and Gas6. These ligands are known to play roles in coagulation and immune responses, further underscoring Tyro3′s importance in maintaining physiological balance.
