Tyk 2 Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Tyk 2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Tyk 2 (C-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tyk 2 is a member of the Janus kinase family, specifically a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a crucial role in the signaling pathways of type I and type II cytokine receptors. Located primarily in the cytoplasm, Tyk 2 is essential for mediating the effects of cytokines and interferons, which are vital for the immune response. Upon activation by immunological stimuli, Tyk 2 phosphorylates signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) proteins, leading to their dimerization and translocation to the nucleus, where they regulate the transcription of genes involved in immune responses.
