    SEE ALSO...

Twinfilin-2 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Twinfilin-2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Twinfilin-2 (B-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Twinfilin-2, also known as TWF2, A6r, A6RP, or PTK9L, is a 349 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating actin dynamics within cells. Twinfilin-2 is primarily localized to the perinuclear region of the cytoplasm and cytoskeleton, where Twinfilin-2 contains two actin-depolymerizing factor homology (ADF-H) domains. This localization allows Twinfilin-2 to effectively bind and sequester G-actin, capping the barbed ends of actin filaments and inhibiting actin polymerization. These functions are vital for various actin-related processes, including cell motility and morphological changes, which are essential for normal cellular function and response to environmental cues. Twinfilin-2 undergoes post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation by protein kinase C zeta, which can further modulate activity and interactions. The gene encoding Twinfilin-2 is located on human chromosome 3, a region encompassing over 1,100 genes, including those associated with chemokine receptors and various cancer-related loci, highlighting potential implications in both normal physiology and disease states.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398673 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
