TTC4 Antibody (TR-L6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects TTC4 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TTC4, or tetratricopeptide repeat domain 4, is a 387 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in mediating protein-protein interactions, particularly through three tetratricopeptide repeat motifs. These motifs are essential for TTC4′s function, as they facilitate binding to various chaperone proteins, including HSP 90 and HSP 70, which are vital for proper protein folding and cellular stress responses. TTC4′s ability to interact with replication protein Cdc6 also highlights its importance in cell cycle regulation, particularly during G1 and S phases, where TTC4 translocates to the nucleus in conjunction with MSL-1. This dynamic localization is critical for maintaining genomic stability and may have implications in the progression of malignant melanoma, making TTC4 a significant target for research in cancer biology. The gene encoding TTC4 is located on human chromosome 1, which is a large genomic region that contributes to a substantial portion of the human genome, underscoring TTC4′s evolutionary significance and potential as a biomarker in various diseases.
