TRPV5 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TRPV5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRPV5 (B-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRPV5 protein, consisting of 729 amino acids, plays a crucial role in calcium homeostasis by regulating the rate-limiting step of vitamin D3-mediated calcium reabsorption in the kidney and intestine. TRPV5 structure includes six transmembrane domains, multiple potential phosphorylation sites, an N-linked glycosylation site, and three ankyrin repeat regions, which are essential for function and interaction with other proteins. TRPV5 is abundantly expressed in the kidney, jejunum, and pancreas, with lower expression levels in the testis, prostate, placenta, brain, colon, and rectum. Vitamin D3-responsive elements in the 5′-flanking region of TRPV5 highlights its regulatory role in calcium absorption, making TRPV5 a vital component in maintaining calcium balance in the body.
