TRP2 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TRP2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRP2 (C-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRP2, also known as dopachrome tautomerase, plays a crucial role in the melanin biosynthesis pathway, which is essential for pigmentation in vertebrates. Located in the melanosomal membrane of melanocytes, TRP2 is involved in the enzymatic conversion of dopachrome to 5,6-dihydroxyindole, a key step in the production of eumelanin and pheomelanin.
