SEE ALSO...

Troponin C fast skeletal Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Troponin C fast skeletal (TNNC2) of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TNNC2 antibody (E-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TNNC2 plays a critical role in muscle contraction by facilitating the interaction between actin and myosin, which are essential for muscle fiber contraction and relaxation. TNNC2 is located in the thin filaments of striated muscle and binds calcium ions, which induces a conformational change that allows myosin to interact with actin, ultimately leading to muscle contraction. TNNC2 in fast skeletal muscle is particularly important as TNNC2 has two calcium-binding sites, allowing for rapid responses to changes in calcium concentration, which is crucial for the quick contractions required in fast-twitch muscle fibers. Understanding the function and dynamics of TNNC2 is vital for studying muscle physiology and pathophysiology, including conditions such as muscular dystrophies and heart diseases.
