TrkB Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa light chain antibody engineered to detect TrkB, also known as NTRK2, as well as variants TrkB-T1 and TrkB T-Shc in human samples, and TrkB splice variants L1 and L10 in mouse, along with TrkB gp95 and TrkB gp145 in rat, through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TrkB antibody (F-1) targets an epitope mapping between amino acids 37-75 within the extracellular domain of the human TrkB protein, ensuring robust binding for reliable detection. TrkB is a member of the tropomyosin receptor kinase family and serves as a crucial tyrosine kinase receptor for neurotrophic factors including brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and neurotrophin-3 (NT-3). These interactions are fundamental for the development, maintenance, and function of the central and peripheral nervous systems, playing a vital role in neuronal survival, differentiation, and synaptic plasticity. The activation of TrkB by ligands initiates downstream signaling pathways that regulate essential cellular processes, making TrkB a key player in understanding neurological diseases and developing therapeutic interventions. Hi, it is indicated that this antibody binds to splice variants L1 and L10. What are these splice variants, from which study? Or is it meaning variants L1 and L0 from Ninkina et al, 1997?

TrkB Antibody (F-1): sc-377218 recognizes Trk B, Trk B-T1 and Trk B T-Shc of human origin; Trk B splice variants L1 and L10 of mouse origin; and Trk B gp95 and Trk B gp145 of rat origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA. Protein and splice variant sequences can be found on UniProt under protein accession numbers Q16620 (human) and P15209 (murine).

In the third image above of the immunoperoxidase staining of formalin fixed, paraffin-embedded hippocampus tissue showing cytoplasmic staining, I was wondering where to find the protocol and/or source of this staining as well as what 2° Ab was used.Thanks

基本的な事で恐縮ですがお教えください。 一般的に1次抗体はIgGもしくはIgMですが、この抗体のようにIgMのメリットは何でしょうか? 一般的な知識的では5量体であるがゆえに凝集したり、非特異的な反応はないのでしょうか?

What is the recommended antigen retrieval method when working with paraffin-embedded sections in IHC?

Can the blocking peptide sc-377218 P be used as a positive control in Western Blot?
