Datasheets
  • Trk Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 809-825 at the C-terminus of Trk of porcine origin
  • recommended for detection of Trk A, Trk B and Trk C of human origin and Trk C of mouse and rat origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including porcine
  • TransCruz reagent for ChIP application (sc-514932 X, 200 µg/0.1 ml)
  • See Trk (B-3): sc-7268 for Trk antibody conjugates, including AC, HRP, FITC, PE, Alexa Fluor® 488, 594, 647, 680 and 790.
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Trk Antibody (C-8) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Trk Antibody (C-8) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

TrkB Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody engineered to detect Trk A (NTRK1), Trk B (NTRK2), and Trk C (NTRK3) in human samples, as well as Trk C in mouse and rat, and Trk proteins in porcine species through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TrkB antibody (C-8) specifically binds to an epitope mapping between amino acids 809-825 at the C-terminus of the porcine Trk protein, ensuring reliable detection of these critical receptors. TrkB, also known as NTRK2, is a member of the tropomyosin receptor kinase family and functions as a key tyrosine kinase receptor for neurotrophic factors like brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and neurotrophin-4/5 (NT-4/5). Located on the cell surface, TrkB plays an essential role in transmitting extracellular signals into the cell, which is crucial for neuronal survival, differentiation, and synaptic plasticity within the central and peripheral nervous systems. The strategic localization of TrkB on the plasma membrane allows direct interaction with ligands, initiating downstream signaling pathways that regulate critical cellular processes involved in brain development and function. TrkB (C-8) antibody enables researchers to study the spatial distribution and expression levels of Trk receptors in various cellular contexts, facilitating a deeper understanding of neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases. Additionally, the ability to detect multiple Trk family members across different species makes TrkB (C-8) monoclonal antibody a versatile tool for comparative studies and translational research.
