Trimethyl Histone H3 Antibody (3G3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG antibody that detects Trimethyl Histone H3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB). Trimethyl Histone H3 plays a crucial role in gene expression and chromatin structure regulation as a key component of the nucleosome, which packages DNA into a compact, organized form within the nucleus. Trimethylation of histone H3, particularly at lysine 4 (H3K4me3), associates with active transcription and appears at promoters of actively expressed genes, serving as an important marker for identifying transcriptionally active genome regions. This post-translational modification influences chromatin accessibility and serves as a binding site for various transcription factors and chromatin remodeling complexes, facilitating transcriptional machinery recruitment. Anti-Trimethyl Histone H3 antibody (3G3) specifically recognizes this modified form of histone H3, enabling researchers to study dynamics in various biological processes, including development, differentiation, and disease states, providing valuable insights into epigenetic regulation of gene expression.
