SEE ALSO...

TRIM72 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TRIM72 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-TRIM72 antibody (A-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRIM72, also known as MG53, is a 477 amino acid cytoplasmic vesicle membrane protein that plays a crucial role in muscle cell membrane repair by facilitating the assembly of repair machinery at sites of injury. TRIM72 is essential for the transport of dysferlin, another protein involved in membrane repair, to these injury sites, thereby ensuring effective repair patch formation. TRIM72 is implicated in regulating membrane budding and exocytosis, and may influence the mobility of endocytic vesicles containing the potassium channel KV2.1. TRIM72 exists as a homooligomer and features a unique structure that includes one B box-type zinc finger, one B30.2/SPRY domain, and a RING-type zinc finger, all of which contribute to functional capabilities. TRIM72 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 16p11.2 and exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms, highlighting complexity and importance in cellular processes.
