
TRIM3 Antibody (27) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TRIM3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-TRIM3 antibody (27) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose and horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Tripartite motif-containing protein 3 (TRIM3), also known as RING finger protein 22 (RNF22), RING finger protein 97 (RNF97), or brain-expressed RING finger protein (BERP), is a 744 amino acid protein that belongs to the TRIM family, which is characterized by the RING-B-box coiled-coil (RBCC) structure. TRIM3 is primarily localized to cytoplasmic filaments, where TRIM3 plays a crucial role in cell motility and cargo transport by interacting with key components of the actin cytoskeleton, such as α-actinin-4 and myosin V. Specifically, α-actinin-4 binds to the RBCC domain of TRIM3, while the unique C-terminal β-propeller domain of TRIM3 interacts with the C-terminal tail of myosin V. These interactions highlight TRIM3′s importance in cellular dynamics and suggest TRIM3′s potential involvement in various physiological processes. Additionally, TRIM3 has three named isoforms resulting from alternative splicing events, which may contribute to TRIM3′s functional diversity in different cellular contexts.
