TRIM Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects TRIM in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRIM (G-10) antibody recognizes TRIM, a type III transmembrane protein that plays a crucial role in T-cell signaling by interacting with the T-cell receptor (TCR) and the CD3z complex, which is essential for T-cell activation and immune response. TRIM (G-10) monoclonal antibody targets a protein structure that includes an 8-amino acid extracellular domain and an intracellular domain rich in phosphorylation sites, which are vital for mediating interactions with other signaling proteins through SH2 domains. This structural feature is significant because TRIM modulates T-cell receptor signaling pathways, thereby influencing T-cell activation and proliferation. The human TRIM gene is located on chromosome 3q13, a region associated with susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis, highlighting its potential role in autoimmune diseases. TRIM is predominantly expressed in T-cells and natural killer cells, where TRIM localizes to the cell membrane, facilitating interaction with CD3z and CD3e, and is not found in B cells or monocytic cells, underscoring its specificity in immune cell signaling.
