Treacle Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Treacle protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Treacle antibody (H-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Treacle protein, a serine/alanine-rich nuclear phosphoprotein consisting of 1,411 amino acids, plays a crucial role in regulating ribosomal DNA transcription by interacting with upstream binding factor (UBF). This interaction is vital for proper synthesis of ribosomal RNA, which is essential for ribosome biogenesis and protein synthesis in cells. Treacle protein is implicated in early embryonic development, particularly in craniofacial complex formation, and may influence nucleolar-cytoplasmic transport. Treacle features a complex structure with three distinct domains, including unique N- and C-termini and a large central repeat domain, which are important for functional interactions. Mutations in the TCOF1 gene, which encodes Treacle, are linked to Treacher Collins-Franceschetti syndrome (TCS), a genetic disorder that leads to significant craniofacial abnormalities, including conductive hearing loss, underdevelopment of the mandible and maxilla, downward sloping palpebral fissures, and cleft palate.
