SEE ALSO...

TRAP-δ Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TRAP-delta protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRAP-δ (C-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRAP-delta is a crucial component of the translocon-associated protein complex, which plays a significant role in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) by facilitating the translocation of nascent polypeptides into the ER lumen. This process is vital for proper protein folding and maturation, as well as for maintaining cellular homeostasis. The TRAP complex, which includes TRAP-α, TRAP-β, TRAP-γ, and TRAP-δ, interacts with the Sec61 translocon, the primary machinery responsible for protein translocation across the ER membrane. TRAP-delta is involved in the ER-associated degradation pathway, which is essential for the removal of misfolded proteins, thereby preventing the accumulation of potentially toxic aggregates. TRAP-delta and associated proteins are upregulated through the XBP-1/IRE1α signaling pathway during ER stress, highlighting their role in cellular stress responses.
