SEE ALSO...

TRAF3 Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects TRAF3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). TRAF3 monoclonal antibody (G-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRAF3 protein plays a crucial role in the regulation of immune responses and cell signaling pathways, particularly in the context of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor-mediated signaling. TRAF3 is primarily involved in the formation of signaling complexes that modulate the activation of nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB) and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathways, which are essential for the immune response and inflammation. Proper functioning of TRAF3 is vital, as dysregulation can lead to various diseases, including autoimmune disorders and cancer. TRAF3 interacts with other proteins in the TNF receptor superfamily, such as TRAF1 and TRAF2, to form heterodimeric complexes that enhance signaling efficiency. Identification of TRAF3′s role in these pathways underscores its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to external stimuli, making TRAF3 monoclonal antibody (G-6) an invaluable tool for researchers studying immune signaling and related pathologies.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with TRAF3 Antibody (G-6): sc-6933?

Asked by: jenni
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins (m-IgGκ) conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not specific for TRAF3This is a terrible antibody that doesn't recognize TRAF3. Despite having been raised against a similar region (per the website) of TRAF3 as a TRAF3 Ab (sc-1828) that has since been discontinued, sc-6933 appears to detect a protein that is not TRAF3 but is (distressingly) the same size as TRAF3, because it shows up in the TRAF3-/- cells. The image is a blot from lysates of a human T cell line without and with TRAF3, using the old TRAF3 Ab and the current "improved" TRAF3 Ab. This TRAF3-/- cell line has been extensively validated as a true and complete TRAF3 knockout. We see similar results in primary mouse cells and cell lines. The bottom line: trash antibody please bring back the old one!
