SEE ALSO...

TRAF1 Antibody (H-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the TRAF1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). TRAF1 monoclonal antibody (H-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The TRAF1 protein plays a crucial role in mediating tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor signaling, particularly through TNF receptor 1 (TNF-R1) and TNF receptor 2 (TNF-R2), which are integral to the immune response and inflammation. TRAF1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where TRAF1 forms heterodimeric complexes with TRAF2, facilitating the downstream signaling pathways that lead to cellular responses such as survival, proliferation, and differentiation. The interaction of TRAF1 with these receptors is vital for the regulation of immune responses, and dysregulation of TRAF1 has been implicated in various diseases, including autoimmune disorders and cancer. Understanding the localization and function of TRAF1 is essential for elucidating TRAF1′s role in TNF receptor-mediated signaling and potential as a therapeutic target.

Can TRAF1 (H-3): sc-6253 monoclonal antibody be used in WB and IP with primary culture of rat cortical neurons?

Asked by: Ricardo03
Thank you for your question. Anti-TRAF1 Antibody (H-3) is recommended for detection of TRAF1 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and FCM. It is suitable for WB or IP work with cortical neuron cells from rat.

Can TRAF1 (H-3): sc-6253 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, TRAF1 (H-3): sc-6253 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
