SEE ALSO...

Tra-2β Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Tra-2 beta protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Tra-2β antibody (D-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tra-2 beta protein plays a crucial role in regulating pre-mRNA splicing, particularly in forming Tra-2/SR complexes with serine/arginine-rich splicing factors, which are essential for tissue-specific alternative splicing of numerous pre-mRNAs. This interaction is vital for proper expression of genes involved in various biological processes, including development and differentiation. Notably, Tra-2β expression increases during reoxygenation of hypoxic astrocytes, highlighting a potential role in cellular responses to stress and injury. Tra-2 proteins selectively bind to purine-rich sequences through RNP-type RNA-binding domains, underscoring their importance in splicing machinery and making Tra-2β a significant target for studies related to gene regulation and splicing mechanisms in both normal physiology and disease states.
