TPX2 Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TPX2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TPX2 (E-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TPX2, known as targeting protein for Xklp2, plays a crucial role in microtubule dynamics, particularly during cell division. TPX2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is essential for proper assembly of the mitotic spindle, which is vital for accurate chromosome segregation. TPX2 interacts with motor protein Xklp2, facilitating localization to microtubules, and is activated by Ran-GTP to promote chromatin-induced microtubule assembly during M phase of the cell cycle. TPX2 is regulated by Aurora-A kinase, which phosphorylates TPX2 at the spindle apparatus, further emphasizing TPX2′s importance in spindle formation and function. Disruption of TPX2 expression through RNA interference leads to significant defects in microtubule organization during mitosis, highlighting TPX2′s critical role in maintaining cellular integrity during cell division.
