tPA Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects tPA protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-tPA antibody (D-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. tPA, also known as tissue-type plasminogen activator, plays a crucial role in the fibrinolytic system, primarily facilitating the breakdown of fibrin in blood clots, which is essential for maintaining normal blood flow and preventing thrombosis. tPA achieves this by converting plasminogen into plasmin, an active enzyme that degrades fibrin and fibrinogen, thereby promoting clot resolution. Regulation of tPA is vital, as excessive activity can lead to bleeding disorders, while insufficient activity can result in thrombosis.
