SEE ALSO...

TNFβ Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TNFβ in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TNFβ (E-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tumor necrosis factor beta (TNFβ), also known as lymphotoxin, is a pleiotropic cytokine that plays a crucial role in immune response and inflammation. TNFβ is primarily produced by activated lymphocytes, including CD4(+) T helper type 1 cells, CD8(+) lymphocytes, and certain B lymphoblastoid cell lines. TNFβ is essential for mediating various immune functions, including apoptosis regulation and immune cell activation, which is vital for maintaining homeostasis and combating infections. TNFβ shares approximately 30% amino acid homology with tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα), another important cytokine that exerts similar biological effects. TNFα and TNFβ can modulate immune and inflammatory responses while possessing the ability to inhibit tumor growth, with target tumor cells requiring TNF receptors 1 and 2 for effective cytotoxicity. p55 receptor is particularly significant in mediating cytotoxic response, highlighting TNFβ′s importance in therapeutic strategies against cancer and autoimmune diseases.
