TNFα Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TNFα of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TNFα (C-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα), also known as cachectin, is a critical pleiotropic cytokine involved in systemic inflammation and is produced by lymphocytes, neutrophils, and macrophages. TNFα plays a key role in mediating immune responses and inflammation, which is vital for defense against infections and tumors. TNFα monoclonal antibody (C-4) targets a protein that interacts with two main receptors, TNFR1 and TNFR2, which are essential for signaling pathways regulating cell survival, apoptosis, and inflammatory response. Anti-TNFα antibody (C-4) recognizes a target that modulates these processes, making TNFα significant for therapeutic interventions in various inflammatory diseases and cancers. TNFα and TNFβ share approximately 30% amino acid homology and exhibit similar biological activities, highlighting their importance in immune regulation.
