TMTC3 Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TMTC3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TMTC3 (G-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TMTC3 protein, also known as SMILE, is a 915 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that belongs to the TMTC family and features ten tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) motifs, which are critical for mediating protein-protein interactions. These TPR motifs consist of a degenerate 34 amino acid sequence that can form up to 16 tandem repeats, each adopting a helix-turn-helix structure that stacks with other TPR repeats to achieve specific ligand binding. The presence of these motifs is essential for TMTC3′s role in various cellular pathways, as TPR motifs facilitate the assembly of protein complexes vital for cellular signaling and function. TMTC3 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 12q21.32, which contains over 1,100 genes within 132 million bases, representing approximately 4.5% of the human genome. Anti-TMTC3 antibody (G-9) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying TMTC3′s intricate roles in cellular processes and potential implications in health and disease.
