TMPRSS4 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TMPRSS4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TMPRSS4 antibody (A-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TMPRSS4, also known as transmembrane protease, serine 4, is a single-pass type II membrane protein that plays a crucial role in tumor biology. TMPRSS4 is involved in proteolytic processing of extracellular matrix components, which is essential for tumor cell invasion and metastasis. TMPRSS4 is characterized by one SRCR domain, one LDL-receptor class A domain, and one peptidase S1 domain, allowing interactions with various substrates and signaling molecules. This structural complexity enables TMPRSS4 to modulate tumor microenvironment and facilitate release of growth factors that promote angiogenesis and tumor progression. TMPRSS4 shows weak expression in normal tissues but markedly elevated expression in several cancers, including gastric, pancreatic, ampullary, and colorectal cancers, highlighting potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target in oncology.
